COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Youth Academy at Cera Sports Park and Campground will begin accepting reservations on Monday, April 1. This year’s camp dates are June 4-7 for 8-to-12-year-olds and June 6-7 for ages 6 to 7.
Kids are invited to come out and enjoy a world of instructional sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on experience with local law enforcement officers.
In addition to BCSO deputies, officers from the Columbus Police Department, Indiana State Police, Indiana Conservation, Isdinada State Excise, and Homeland Security will help with instruction.
Lunch will be provided daily. Campers must bring their swimsuit/swim gear each day. Drop off is at 7:30 a.m. and pick up is promptly at 4 p.m.
Fees for the two-day camp are $25 (Ages 6-7) or $50 for the four-day camp (Ages 8-12).
New participants will be enrolled before returning participants. Returning participants will be contacted once they are added to the roster.
Limited scholarships are available by emailing your request to ceraland@ceraland.org. Please provide the child’s name, age, contact info, and the reason for the scholarship requests.
