NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) responded to a reported neighbor dispute in the Edgewood Avenue area on Friday, June 6. A North Vernon man was subsequently arrested on multiple drug-related charges.
Probation officers with the Jennings County Circuit Court intended to conduct a compliance check on Gregg Gregory. An NVPD task force officer assisted them with a search of the area where Gregory had been staying and made contact with him at a nearby residence.
Inside the suspect’s bedroom, law enforcement allegedly located items commonly associated with illegal drug use and possession, including possible methamphetamine, a clear bag containing a leafy substance suspected to be marijuana, a white paper plate with additional leafy material, and a digital scale with white crystal residue. All were collected as evidence.
Gregory was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Jennings County Jail, and faces the following preliminary charges:
- Possession of a controlled substance, meth (Level 6 felony),
- Possession of marijuana B (misdemeanor),
- Possession of drug paraphernalia C (misdemeanor),
