JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind.– The Indiana State Police (ISP) is investigating a single-vehicle crash in southern Jennings County in which a 20-year-old Commiskey man was killed on Tuesday.
Shortly after 4 p.m., Tyler J. Wells was traveling east on County Road 400S approaching State Road 3 when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his vehicle. It left the south side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Wells sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jennings County Coroner’s Office.
The intersection of State Road 3 and County Road 400S was closed for nearly four hours for crash investigation and cleanup.
The ISP investigation continues, but speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
