NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The City of North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) recognizes officers Allen and Gibbons for their quick, selfless, and heroic actions that saved a life in Jennings County.
Recently, the two officers responded to a reported overdose, even though the location was outside their normal area of responsibility. Both took immediate action, administering Narcan and performing CPR.
Their swift reaction and life-saving measures directly resulted in the individual regaining consciousness and surviving the incident.
This act exemplifies the dedication and commitment that NVPD officers have to protecting and serving, not just within city limits, but wherever help is needed.
