INDIANAPOLIS — State Sen. Greg Walker (R-Columbus) welcomed several local students to the Statehouse to work as Senate pages in February.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator.
“It’s always exciting to see students from my district participate in the page program,” Walker said. “Learning about state government is very important, and this program invites them to learn through a new experience. Thank you to all the students who participated.”
Students in grades 6 through 12 participate in the page program during the legislative session on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
The students who served last month as pages were:
- George Bachmeyer, from Columbus, attends ABC Stewart School
- Addison Butler, from Trafalgar, attends ABC Stewart School
