COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund delivery day is this Saturday, December 14. Volunteers in their trucks, vans, and cars are needed to ensure all Bartholomew County kids get their Christmas gifts.
If you are interested in volunteering to deliver gifts to area families, show up at the Cheer Fund building, 2674 Verhulst St., on Saturday morning at 8:00.
You will be instructed to drive inside the Cheer Fund building where some of Santa’s top elves will load gifts into your sleigh. Once you’re loaded and we’ve checked our list twice, you will assist in delivering toys and gifts to “every child who has been nice.”
The Cheer Fund could not do it without all the volunteers. The Columbus Fire Department strives to make it a happy Christmas for all less fortunate children in the community.
