COLUMBUS, Ind. – Halfway through the early voting period in Bartholomew County, election officials say residents are casting their ballots at a brisk pace. After a record start on the first day of early voting on October 8, the numbers slowed last week because schools were on fall break and families were out of town.
Early voting is available at Donner Center, 739 22nd St., in Columbus, Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It ends at noon on Monday, November 4. This location will also be available to vote early on Saturdays, October 26 and November 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Bartholomew County Governmental Office Building, 440 Third Street, in Columbus, will also be open for early voting on Saturdays, October 26 and November 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During this election season, there is no early voting at NexusPark or the County Courthouse.
