COLUMBUS, Ind. – River Valley Legal Aid holds a free walk-in clinic on Tuesday, September 24, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Bartholomew County Public Library, in Columbus.
The Pro Bono program uses local volunteer lawyers who offer free legal consultations to low-income individuals. The goal is to further assist in equal access to justice within the community for those who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.
At no cost, the River Valley Legal Aid walk-in clinic on Tuesday provides individuals with a 10-minute consultation to answer questions and offer legal information on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to register in advance.
General advice is given from 3 to 4 p.m. and residents can get counsel on evictions from 4 to 5 p.m.
