VERNON, Ind. – Perceptions Yoga, Mindfulness, and Art, a nonprofit in Vernon, will display the works of October Artist of the Month, Jessica Brawner, with an opening public reception on October 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Jessica states, “It’s the little things in life that should not be taken for granted.” She is the mother of two young men and an aunt to an amazing woman and a vibrant little boy who will forever be five years old. Brawner also had a nephew who passed away suddenly and the tragedy made her come to this realization.
“I have enjoyed working with small humans who have taught me some important life lessons. Toddlers create the most amazing art with their tiny hands. They don’t worry if it’s messy or even pretty because they enjoy the creating process.”
She has been asked where she gets her inspiration from, and her answer is always, “Out of My Mind.” Check out Out Of My Mind-Art on Facebook.
The public can meet the artist, view the work, make purchases, and enjoy reception fare at the opening reception on October 4. The closing reception is on October 25, at 5 p.m.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, 1 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment by emailing Perceptions director Karen Chilman at karenchilman@perceptionsyoga.
