NORTH VERNON, Ind. – River Valley Legal Aid is holding a free Legal Aid Walk-In Clinic on Tuesday, September 17, at the Jennings County Public Library, on State Highway 3, in North Vernon, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The general advice clinic is from 3 to 4 p.m., where attendees can receive advice on legal civil matters at no cost. You can get free guidance on eviction-related topics at the clinic from 4 to 5 p.m.
The Legal Aid Clinic and Pro Bono Program utilize local volunteer attorneys, offering free legal consultations to low-income individuals. The goal is to give equal access to justice to those within the community who might not otherwise be able to afford counsel.
Individuals coming to the Legal Aid Clinic on September 17 receive a 10-minute consultation to answer general and eviction questions, offer legal information, or receive other limited pro se assistance or advice, on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to register in advance.
