TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – A long-term investigation by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) and the Intelligence-Led Policing Unit (ILP) concluded on Thursday with the arrest of Angel Sanders, 48, and Robert Siple, 49, both of Taylorville, on several narcotics charges.
Authorities executed a search warrant at 7720 Mill Run, in Tannehill Trailer Park, and allegedly found a substantial amount of narcotics at the home. JNET and ILP say they seized about a quarter-pound of methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, suspected fentanyl, and drug-related items such as scales, a 9mm handgun, and $2,000 in cash.
Sanders and Siple were arrested on the charges of Dealing in Meth, Possession of Meth, Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Dealing in a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance.
The suspects were taken into custody and placed on a 48-hour hold. This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
JNET, a combined unit of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department, and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office. is proactively targeting the manufacturing and abuse of dangerous drugs in Columbus and Bartholomew County.
