NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The State of Indiana has announced that over 50 judicial officers will meet with about 4,300 students and civic group members to celebrate Constitution Day next week.
Every year, Indiana courts commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, with a program that brings judges into schools and their communities.
Sometime between the week before and the week after Constitution Day, Hoosier judges will be out of the courtroom making their visits.
The following local judges are visiting local schools sometime around September 17:
- Jackson County – Judge AmyMarie Travis at Emerson Elementary School
- Jennings County – Judge Ellie Bright at Brush Creek Elementary
