INDIANAPOLIS – The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says a Heat Advisory is in effect for south-central Indiana on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Heat Advisory is for Johnson, Bartholomew, Jackson, Jennings, Decatur, Brown, and Shelby Counties. Heat index values between 100-105 degrees are expected for the region.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat strokes, heat exhaustion, or other heat-related illnesses.
As a precaution, residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
