COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus East High School athletic camps have been taking place over the summer and will wrap soon with boys’ basketball and tennis camps. The camps, intended to build future Olympians, are for elementary and middle school kids during the week of July 22.
The East boys basketball camp runs from July 22-25 and is $60 for the four days. Students in grades 1-3 meet from 4 to 5 p.m.; grades 4-6 get together from 4-5:30 p.m.; and, middle school athletes practice drills from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
East tennis camp is from July 22-26 with a fee of $25 for grades K-2 athletes and $30 for grades 3-8. Registration includes a t-shirt. K-2 kids will meet from 9-10 a.m., grades 2-6 practice from 10:30-11:45 a.m., and middle schoolers have their camp from 12:30-1:45 p.m.
