NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after witnessing multiple traffic infractions on Country Squire Boulevard late Thursday night.
A deputy pulled over the car at around 11:15 p.m. and while speaking with the driver, Duwayne A. Wright, 37, of Paris Crossing, the officer became suspicious of drug activity.
After further investigation, probable cause was established to search the vehicle. During that search, deputies allegedly located about four grams of methamphetamine and drug-related items.
Wright was transported to the Jennings County Jail and preliminarily charged with Possession of Meth (Level 6 Felony) and Possession of Paraphernalia with Prior Conviction (Class A Misdemeanor).
