COLUMBUS, Ind. – Landmark Columbus Foundation has announced the team of seven Curatorial Partners that will steer the direction of the 5th cycle of Exhibit Columbus. These Curatorial Partners are charged with creating and advancing the theme of this cycle of Exhibit Columbus. They represent a depth of experience in architecture, art, design, history, and writing.
“This is a milestone event for our organization, and we are thrilled to have such an inspiring group of curators for the 5th Cycle of Exhibit Columbus,” said Richard McCoy, Executive Director of Landmark Columbus Foundation. “This will be a special two-year cycle that culminates with the exhibition opening in August 2025.”
The 2024-2025 Exhibit Columbus Curatorial partners are:
- Joseph Altshuler and Zack Morrison (Could Be Design-Chicago/Urbana-Champaign, Illinois)
- Mila Lipinski (Duvall Decker-Jackson, Mississippi)
- Rasul Mowatt (North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina)
- Elizabeth Blazius and Jonathan Solomon (Preservations Futures-Chicago, Illinois)
- Too Black – Indianapolis, Indiana
The 2024–25 cycle of Exhibit Columbus will publicly launch on June 26, with a Community Kickoff event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Helen Haddad Hall in downtown Columbus. The curators and Landmark Columbus Foundation staff will be introduced in a free, public format.
Launched in 2016 as a program of the nonprofit organization Landmark Columbus Foundation, Exhibit Columbus is an internationally recognized exploration of community, architecture, art, and design that celebrates the modern legacy of Columbus.
The two-year cycle of events for the 5th Exhibit Columbus are:
- Community Kickoff (June 26, 2024)
- The Symposium (October 24-25, 2024)
- Design Presentations (February 21-22, 2025)
- The Exhibition (August 15 – November 30, 2025).
