SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Seymour Fire Department announced Tuesday that its nine-month renovation and expansion project for Station #1, at 318 East St., has concluded.
Some upgrades include having office space for office work instead of doing paperwork in the living room, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and privacy for the sleeping quarters.
Firefighters also now have a weight room for exercising, a laundry room with a new washer and dryer, and a separate room for their gear.
The truck bays are freshly painted and have new LED lighting and there is new signage on the front of the building which also got an update.
