COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is starting a new “PT with the Police” program. Police officers will be leading exercise classes at the Central Middle School track, on Sundays at noon, and you are invited to participate. Ages 18 and over are preferred.
The one-hour sessions will be academy-style workouts with a focus on meeting police agility standards. There is no cost, but you are asked to complete the waiver on the City of Columbus website.
Whether you’re interested in becoming a police officer, looking to get in shape, or just want to exercise with CPD officers, stop by and “PT with the Police.”
If you come to the classes, you should bring:
- Plenty of water
- Workout attire (no cut-off shirts, please)
- Yoga mat (optional)
