COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office sentenced a local man for arson in September.
Officers with the Columbus Police Department were dispatched to 1804 22nd Street in response to a fire set by a suspect, later identified as David M. Frank on July 11. Frank set fire to miscellaneous objects behind a dumpster in an enclosure connected to a building. Frank was convicted of Arson, a Level 6 Felony. Frank was sentenced to 2 years and 134 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections by Judge James Worton of the Bartholomew County Superior Court 1.
The sentencing range for a Level 6 felony is six months to two and one-half years, with an advisory sentence of one year.
