ELIZABETHTOWN, Ind. – The Eastern Bartholomew Water Corporation (EBWC) reported an outage on Friday morning, September 12, in the southeastern part of the County, near State Road 7.
The problem was caused by another utility company damaging an EBWC 8-inch water main. After water is restored, customers in that area will be under a Boil Water Advisory until noon on Tuesday, September 16.
The customers affected will be notified by the water utility.
During the Boil Water Advisory, water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be boiled for at least five minutes and then cooled before consumption.
