COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) President/CEO Steve Baker has officially resigned, effective immediately.
He assumed the role in April of this year, succeeding longtime CRH President/CEO Jim Bickel.
Jim Bickel will serve in the Interim role through for the remainder of 2025 and into 2026, as needed, while the Columbus Regional Health Board of Trustees finalizes the plan to fill the role of President and Chief Executive Officer role.

Baker’s resignation follows substantial budget cuts to Columbus Regional Health and other area hospitals.
