VERSAILLES, Ind. – The 87th Indiana State Police (ISP) Recruit Academy recently graduated 20 new troopers with a ceremony at the Indiana State Capitol Rotunda. The recruits have now reported to their respective districts. Trooper Cameron Curry has been assigned to the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post.
Curry, 29, is a 2015 graduate of Columbus East High School. After high school, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and was then hired by the Michigan State Police, where he served for over three years.
He moved back to Bartholomew County after being hired by the Columbus Police Department (CPD). He was an officer with CPD for a year and a half before joining ISP.
Trp. Curry will undergo field training before beginning solo patrol in zone one of the Versailles District.
He and his family continue to reside in Bartholomew County.
