FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Fair officially opens this Sunday, July 13, and continues through Saturday, July 19, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, 250 Fairgrounds St., off of Jefferson Street.
Although there are plenty of activities on Sunday, the midway does not open until Monday at 5 p.m. Poor Jack’s Amusements presents “Moonlight Madness” on Monday, where you can purchase a wristband and ride all night from 6 to 11 p.m. for $30.
On Sunday, opening day, the Johnson County Fair schedule includes:
- 1 p.m. – 4-H and Open Class exhibits until 10 p.m.
- 1 p.m. – Pet Parade in the Indoor Arena
- 3 p.m. – Little Miss and Mr. Johnson County Contest in the Indoor Arena
- 7 p.m. – Flat/Dirt Drags in the Grandstand
- 7 p.m. – Miss Johnson County Fair Queen Contest in the Indoor Arena
- Dusk – Fireworks
