COLUMBUS, Ind. – Centra Credit Union recently supported three local nonprofits in the Bartholomew County area with a total of $2000 in donations as part of the Centra Foundation’s Pay It Forward campaign.
Pay It Forward empowers Centra’s Team Members to lead mini-service projects in groups that support local nonprofits.
As a financial institution rooted in the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People,” Centra says it actively seeks new ways to give its Team Members more opportunities to give back in unique and meaningful ways.
Centra supported the following nonprofit organizations serving the Bartholomew County area as part of Pay It Forward:
- Just Friends
- Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center
- Love Chapel
One team also provided lunch for Habitat for Humanity workers and nurses at Our Hospice. Another team worked with Firefly Children and Family Alliance to support a family in need living in Columbus.
In 2024, the Credit Union was able to provide an additional $166,000 to the Centra Foundation. The Foundation is then allocating a total of $30,000 across 60 teams in 2025 to “Pay It Forward” in the communities Centra serves. Learn more about Pay It Forward and the Centra Foundation at Centra.org.
