GREENWOOD, Ind. – The City of Greenwood and Greenwood Parks and Recreation have announced that construction has started on the new parking lot at Northeast Park. It will provide convenient parking access to the park’s north side, close to the playground, loop trail, shelter, and restrooms.
The project, part of the 2022 Action Plan, is sponsored by HUD Community Development Block Grant funding.
Located on Crestview Drive, Northeast Park covers 19 acres and sits adjacent to Northeast Elementary School. Park attractions include a soccer complex, playground equipment, basketball court, softball diamond, two picnic shelters, and the area’s only skate park.
