COLUMBUS, Ind. — Around 2000 people are without power in Bartholomew County as of 7:30 p.m. and many trees and power lines are down following severe thunderstorms Wednesday night. The storm system produced 60+mile an hour winds and penny sized hail that left around 12,000 people in the Indianapolis area without power earlier in the day.
Trees have been reported down on roads near Columbus North High School, Columbus East High School and Fifth and Third Bank. Bartholomew County REMC is currently working to restore power to residents affected by the storm.
