EDINBURGH, Ind. – Jackson County Dispatch reported that an inmate of the Edinburgh Correctional Facility walked away from his work detail near Vallonia Free Nursery, in Vallonia, southwest of Brownstown in Jackson County, on Wednesday morning.
The man, Michael D. Anderson, was last seen in the area of Starve Hollow. He is described as a light-skinned black male, 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 184 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anderson has multiple tattoos, including a rose tattoo on his right hand, a royal crown on his right arm, and a Chicago Bulls logo on his left leg.
He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, yellow pants, a Carhart-type jacket, and an orange hat. The fugitive might be wearing “long john” underwear instead of the yellow shirt and pants.
Residents in the area are encouraged to lock their doors, but authorities don’t think there is any threat to the public at this time.
If you see Michael D. Anderson, call 911 immediately.
