COLUMBUS, Ind. – United Way of Bartholomew County (UWBC) has announced it will celebrate the businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community members who are an integral part of the social services sector at its annual meeting at The Commons on May 21, at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at the free event.
Every day, UWBC leads this sector in bringing organizations and the community together to lift people out of poverty and to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. The non-profit agency has access to worldwide best practices to identify the root causes of poverty and to collaborate with certified agencies, government entities, and other non-profits in the community to find solutions to the multi-prong issues of poverty and homelessness.
The meeting salutes the progress and impact the community has had on this and other initiatives.
The community is invited, but you are asked to pre-register by going here and then clicking RSVP.
