COLUMBUS, Ind. – Authorities at the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) announced late Tuesday night that they had been made aware of an alleged threat involving a school on Tuesday.
During the ensuing investigation, a juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County Youth Services Center.
There are no outstanding threats to the community at this time pertaining to this investigation.
BCSO is working closely with Bartholomew County School Corporation administrators regarding the incident.
Sheriff Chris Lane said, “The safety of our youth and schools are taken very seriously. Cases like this will be thoroughly investigated to ensure the safety of our schools.”
This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
