NEW WHITELAND, Ind. – The Johnson County Highway Department announced Monday that Tracy Road (County Road 600N) is closed to all traffic at approximately 100 feet east of County Road 75, near the Town of New Whiteland.
The closure will remain in effect through Thursday with that portion of the road reopening on Friday, weather permitting.
The reason for the closing is to perform emergency repairs of field drainage tile under Tracy Road, where a sinkhole has developed.
Drivers should follow the detour signs in the area. The eastbound traffic detour is north of Tracy Road, along C.R. 75W, Worthsville Road, and US 31. Westbound traffic should travel south of Tracy Road, along Sawmill Road, Whiteland Road, and Honey Creek Road.
