GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Greenwood Fire Department (GFD) recently partnered with local CrossFit gym Three Cord Fitness and CrossFit to help recruits get in shape.
Three Cord, 444 N. Madison Ave. in Greenwood, is the home of morning PT for the GFD 2024-2 recruit class. Over 20 future firefighters are currently in the program.
While working on the EMS portion of the GFD Fire Academy, recruits are physically pushed through fitness training at the local gym.
The local CrossFit gym also offers classes and individual workouts to citizens during the day.
GFD said it appreciates Three Cord Fitness and CrossFit for their time, dedication, and commitment to the department and its recruits.
