COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office diversity team hosted Decorating with Deputies on Saturday, December 7. The event included cookie decorating, holiday crafts, and games, with each child receiving a gift.
The diversity team is comprised of deputies and civilian staff from the Sheriff’s Office, together with members of the community, who are working together to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and all residents of Bartholomew County.
Sheriff Chris Lane said, “Events like Decorating with Deputies allow children and families to interact with our deputies in a fun and relaxed environment. We show the community that those of us in law enforcement are ordinary people with an extraordinary job. I am grateful to all who attended and thank our diversity team for their organizational efforts.”
