COLUMBUS, Ind. – Our Hospice of South Central Indiana (OHSCI) has named Annie Ford, RN, as the recipient of the “DAISY Award” for the 3rd Quarter of 2024.
The DAISY Award is for extraordinary nurses and is supported by the DAISY Foundation. It honors the compassionate care nurses provide daily.
Patients and OHSCI team members nominate the nurses. Ford was selected because of her exemplary commitment to providing care to her patients.
“From the first day of meeting Annie where she knelt to where I was sitting to introduce herself, I knew then that she had a very caring heart,” shared one of Ford’s patients. The patient added “She is compassionate and understanding with me and my family. We are thankful to have her along with us on this journey.”
DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.
