FRANKLIN, Ind. – Step into a Hallmark movie at Franklin’s Holiday Lighting and Winter Market this weekend.
The event, this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on E. Court St., in Franklin, is sponsored by Discover Downtown Franklin, Festival Country Indiana, Franklin Parks and Recreation, and Indiana State Festivals Association.
The annual tradition features a lighted parade, an indoor and outdoor market, visits with Santa, the courthouse square lighting, a fireworks finale, and lots more.

Some of the events and times are listed below:
- Live Nativity from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Food vendors from noon to 7 p.m.
- Winter market from 1 to 8 p.m.
- Visit with Santa from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Showing of “A Christmas Story” – at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Artcraft Theatre
- Lighted parade – 5:30 p.m. starting on Jackson Street (in the amphitheater parking lot)
- Live entertainment – 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- Lighting of the courthouse at 7 p.m.
- Fireworks at 7:30 p.m.
