COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department has announced Martavius Mims as the new NexusPark Fieldhouse Sports Manager.
With a sports management background and a B.S. and M.S. from Western Kentucky University, Mims aims to elevate the fieldhouse operations to new heights.
In Round Rock, Texas, he managed an 82,800-square-foot sports indoor/60-acre multipurpose outdoor complex. He has orchestrated high-profile events like NFL camps and has supervised sports tourism initiatives.
His experience on the field as a college football safety at Western Kentucky adds an invaluable dimension to his role.
The new facility manager says he looks forward to creating dynamic programs at Circle K Fieldhouse.
Mims will be relocating with his wife and their 5-month-old son this month, with his official start date set for December 16.
