FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin Community Schools (FCS) recently announced that Joe Hougland has been named the Transportation Director. The FCS Board of School Trustees approved the recommendation at the October 21 meeting.
Hougland joins Franklin after serving as a systems product manager for 10 years at Arrow Material Handlin. He has a bachelor of arts degree from Franklin College. “I am excited for this new opportunity to return to the school that helped shape me, with the privilege of working alongside the same school community that my children now attend,” Joe Hougland said. “I am proud to give back to my alma mater and be a part of the district that’s meant so much to my family.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Joe to our team,” Benji Betts, Executive Director of Operations, said. “His commitment to and understanding of our community, paired with his extensive experience in streamlining processes, make him an excellent fit for this role.”
Hougland replaces Andrew Murray, who resigned.
