FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College Music Department will present the Fall Instrumental Chamber Concert on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m., and the Fall Vocal Chamber Concert on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. Both concerts will be in the Clarence E. and Inez R. Custer Theatre in Old Main. Admission is free.
The Vocal Chamber Concert will feature performances by Franklin College music majors and students enrolled in vocal lessons at the Studio of Eric DeForest. The concert will showcase students’ talents and include expert commentary from DeForest as they perform duets and solos. Genres will range from jazz and musical theater standards to operatic masterpieces.
The Instrumental Chamber Concert will feature performances of classical pieces from Bach and Handel. Three distinct bands representing various music courses offered at the College will perform. The bands include the Franklin Flute Trio. Franklin Jazz Collective, and Franklin Woodwind Studio.
