NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) introduced its newest K-9 Deputy, Brock, last week. A German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix, Brock has been working hard with his handler, Deputy Michael Watts.
The team trained extensively over the last six weeks with F.M. K-9 in Berrien Center, Michigan, preparing for their important work ahead.
Deputy Watts and K-9 Brock are now officially certified in Dual-Purpose Narcotics through the International Police Work Dog Association. JCSO said that this accomplishment reflects their dedication.
Deputy Watts stated, “Training with K-9 Brock has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. He’s a remarkable partner with incredible drive and loyalty. We’re ready to serve Jennings County together, and I’m excited to see the positive impact he’ll make in our community.”
