JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) received information early Monday morning regarding a possible stolen vehicle traveling south on South State Street, just past the JCSO building. Deputies located the car near State Road 3 and Ripley Street in Vernon. The vehicle continued onto Ripley Street before heading north on County Road 25E.
After confirming with the Madison Police Department the car had been stolen, officers made a felony traffic stop. The North Vernon Police Department arrived for support.
The driver, Justin Jarrell, 33, and passenger Tiffani Vanosdol, 36, both of North Vernon, were detained. They claimed they bought the vehicle from the registered owner a few days ago and tried to provide proof of ownership with an incomplete vehicle title.

During the investigation, law enforcement allegedly discovered suspected methamphetamine concealed on the female passenger.
The pair was transported to the Jennings County Jail. Jarrell was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Level 6 Felony) and Vanosdol was booked for Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Meth (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Paraphernalia (B Misdemeanor).
