NASHVILLE, Ind. – Legal Aid District 11 will hold a walk-in clinic this Tuesday, September 3, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Brown County Public Library, on Locust Lane, in Nashville.
The Legal Aid Clinic/Pro Bono program utilizes local volunteer attorneys, offering free legal consultations to low-income individuals for the provision of legal advice and assistance in furtherance of equal access to justice within the community who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.
The clinic is for all low-income people in Legal Aid District 11, including Bartholomew, Brown, Johnson, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, and Shelby counties.
At no cost, the Legal Aid walk-in clinic on Tuesday provides attendees with a 10-minute consultation to answer questions and offer legal information on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is no need to register in advance. Advice on civil legal issues is given from 3 to 4 p.m., and residents can get counsel on housing legal issues from 4 to 5 p.m.
