FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College Associate Professor of History, Lourdes Hurtado, Ph.D., attended the Faculty Seminar on World War II History in late June.
Chosen through a competitive application process, Hurtado was among approximately 20 distinguished participants invited by the Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy.
“Attending the Faculty Seminar on World War II History was an amazing experience,” said Hurtado. “I was able to deepen my knowledge about the American military’s strategic, operational, and tactical aspects during WWII. I feel better prepared to advise our history majors if they decide to do their research projects on WWII.”
The seminar, hosted at the National World War II History Museum in New Orleans, aimed to help participants understand the war’s major themes, campaigns, outcomes, and legacies.
