EDINBURGH, Ind. – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Johnson County reminds families in need that Indiana SUN Bucks launches this summer. The benefits program is being introduced to Indiana families and offers $120 per eligible school-aged child for groceries during the summer break.
No child should go hungry when school’s out, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Johnson County says SUN Bucks help. If you are already enrolled in SNAP (Food Stamps), TANF, or Medicaid, your household might be eligible for the new SUN Bucks program which helps families buy food during the summer when school is out.
If you qualify, you will receive $120 for each eligible child that you can use to buy food this summer at authorized retailers. SUN Bucks will be mailed to you by June 1 and expire 122 days after the issue date.
Children under 18 in your household can also receive free meals at a summer meal site. Call 1-866-3-HUNGRY or text 914-342-7744 (keyword “summer meals”) to find a location near you.
