COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department announced Thursday that Mill Race Park and Noblitt Park are closed due to high water.
Because of the heavy rains this week, more sections of the People Trail System may also become inaccessible due to rising water. Caution is advised this weekend.
Parks and Rec crews will evaluate these flooded areas on Monday. They will be re-opened after the water recedes and any mud and debris have been cleaned.
Along with Mill Race and Noblitt parks, Owens Bend Park is closed. Bartholomew County Emergency Management says County Road 900N has been closed, between County Roads 300E and 200E. Tinky Bridge on County Road 400N near River Road and the Azalia Public Access Site on County Road 800S are also closed.
UPDATE 4/12/24 10:19 a.m.: Tinky Bridge on County Road 400N has reopened.
