COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Arc of Bartholomew County is sponsoring the Ben Baker Memorial Scholarship for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. The award, of up to $1,000, is bestowed upon a deserving recipient at the Arc’s Annual Award Ceremony scheduled for May.
Eligible candidates must submit applications by May 1. The scholarship is open to graduating seniors from Bartholomew County, whether the mid-term or ending term, plus any other Bartholomew County resident planning to start advanced studies in the fall of 2024.
The scholarship aligns with The Arc of Bartholomew County’s dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Through this initiative, the organization provides financial help to students exhibiting academic excellence and a commitment to furthering their education.
Applicants must have demonstrated an interest in assisting or advocating for individuals with disabilities and plan to pursue an education or career related to advocating for individuals who have disabilities.
