NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Sandra Beam, a 911 dispatcher serving Jennings County for over 24 years, has been honored with the prestigious Knight Chevalier Award for her fundamental role in a recent vehicle pursuit.
Beam’s contribution involved speaking directly with the suspect, via 911, urging them to stop, amidst an intense pursuit. Her quick thinking, exceptional communication skills, and dedication to public safety were pivotal in guiding law enforcement officers and ensuring the safety of law enforcement and the citizens of Jennings County.
