COLUMBUS, Ind. – Legal Aid District 11 has announced another walk-in clinic for this Tuesday, March 26, at the Legal Aid office in the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., in Columbus. The free clinic will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. There is no need to register in advance.
The Legal Aid Clinic/Pro Bono program utilizes local volunteer attorneys, offering free legal consultations to low-income individuals for the provision of legal advice and assistance in furtherance of equal access to justice within the community who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.
At no cost, the Legal Aid walk-in clinic on Tuesday provides a 10-minute consultation to individuals to answer general and eviction questions, offer legal information, or receive other limited pro se assistance or advice, on a first-come, first-served basis.
General advice is given from 3 to 4 p.m. and residents can get counsel on evictions from 4 to 5 p.m.
