FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) recently gifted Jameson Overnight Summer Camp with a grant of $5000 from its Cycle 1 Youth Serving Program.
Jameson Camp holds eight weeks of week-long overnight summer camps each year for kids ages 7 – 17. Campers spend six days and five nights on the 130+ acres of property owned by Jameson Camp participating in outdoor activities of their choosing, making new friends, and spending time outdoors and device-free as they discover who they are in a safe space of belonging.
Campers spend part of each day participating in “camper’s choice” activities which each camper individually chooses based on their interests, and the other part of the day is spent doing team and comradery-building activities with their cabinmates.
JCCF says Jameson serves campers from 37 Indiana counties and six different states.
