“Blessed Be” by Jason Gray is my favorite song from the album All The Lovely Losers.
Both the song and the album title which comes from the opening lyrics are based on The Beatitudes, which is one of my favorite passages in the Bible. Other songs based on this passage are “Bless The Lord,” “Amen” and “Narrow” by Shaun Groves from his album White Flag which is thematically linked to The Beatitudes. Jason has a unique perspective in that he has a speech impediment and finds strength and comfort in the words of Jesus from Matthew 51-12
