Shaun Tomzach is leaving the Sidewalk Prophets. The group announced this week that, after four years with the group, the lead guitarist is moving in another direction that will allow him to spend a lot more time at home with his family. Shaun will play in his last concert with the band on New Years Eve. Meanwhile, the other members of The Sidewalk Prophets ask that you keep Shaun and his family in your prayers as well as the band as they look to fill the role of lead guitarist. The GSN Television Network has given the green light to a new original series titled It Takes a Church. In each one-hour episode of IT TAKES A CHURCH, hosted by Natalie Grant, members of a Christian congregation play matchmaker in a competition to help an unattached fellow parishioner find their match. Good news from Casting Crowns bass player Chris Huffman. After a day shy of 16 weeks, Chris’ infant son Silas this week was able to go home. Several weeks ago Silas received a heart transplant. And while they’re excited to finally be taking Silas home, Chris says prayers would be appreciated as they adapt to the new normal of a son with a transplanted heart.

A new poll Finds that the French Penned song “O Holy Night” is the UK’s Favorite Christmas Carol. The song received 15 percent of the vote, beating out Hark The Herald Angels Sing, In the Bleak Mid Winter, Silent Night, and Joy to the World. The rest if the Top 10 also included: O Come All Ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, O come O Come Emmanuel, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, and Away in a Manger in that order.

Josh Wilson’s song Jesus is Alive was used this year to complete an amazing Christmas display. The creators of the light display say their goal is to use their lights to bring Glory to our Savior. The display featured over 100,000 LED lights, a huge 110 foot Mega Arch that spans the two story house, 4 Mega trees, and 100 Christmas trees on display.
